Today, we had a visit from the Theale Fire and Rescue service. They showed us all of their fire engine kit and explained how it would be used in an emergency. In the classroom, two firefighters taught us about the protective clothing that they wear and the importance of smoke alarms and how to respond in a fire emergency situation. We even got to sit in the back of the fire engine. I wonder how many of us have been inspired to be firefighters when we grow up?!
