Friends of Downsway
Friends of Downsway (FOD) is the group of parents and carers who work with the school to organise fund-raising events. Our aim is to raise money to finance extra projects across the school and to have some fun along the way! We have held many successful fund-raising activities over the years, enhancing the children's school life, whilst raising thousands of pounds at the same time.
If you have a child at the school, then you are automatically a Friend of Downsway.
We are always looking for help, enthusiasm and new ideas and would love to see you at one of our meetings or events - please don't be shy!
We would like to thank everybody who has helped support the Friends of Downsway events – we couldn’t do it without you!
How can I help?
All help is highly appreciated, many hands really do make light work!
There is no obligation to join the committee before helping with events. Everyone is busy, please just help as and when you can. For further information, or to offer your assistance, please contact the school office. Sign-up sheets can be found in reception in advance of each event.
Below are some of the annual events, together with a brief description of the many ways in which you can help to make these events successful.
